Where's the 'conservative' viewpoint anywhere? There is an O'reilly topic listed in the forum and when I clicked on it an error message appears. (conspiracy theory?) Who funds this website? What I am saying is just in the radio section alone there is no 'conservative views, radio shows, etc. Come on...be objective, neutral, unbiased, balanced, etc. I am new to this website and I quickly browsed and maybe I did miss something, if I did please let me know. Thanks.

Come to the classic TV section, we have lots of conservative and historically interesting programs including an episode of the emmy-award winning "Life is Worth Living", the most popular program ever to be hosted by a Catholic Bishop.

I imagine the replies you've received here should give you an idea as to what is going on. And it's pointless to complain, as you'll get ad hom mixed with rewritten history, all held together with a nice ribbon of far left douchebaggery. Which is why I spend my time downloading items from the otr area, where at least you have the ability to hear a time when the media and more than half the people in the country were actually rooting for America.

And you lefties can all saved your canned responses and feigned outrage for someone who gives a flying burrito fuck.

Amazing that this thread is a full year old and nobody has actually answered the question. The reason modern conservative pundits aren't on archive.org is the same reason that the last season of Lost isn't: Limbaugh and O'Reilly's radio shows are still under copyright protection and produced by people who care deeply about their property rights. Also, Rush and Bill O have an online audio archive for which they charge a subscription, and any "freebies" would cut into their bottom line.

The leftists you're complaining about, on the other hand, usually post their own material, so none of the property rights issues come into play.

short version: If you want Limbaugh and O'Reilly freebies on Archive.org, tell THEM, because it's entirely up to them. Otherwise, get out your credit card, because they don't come cheap.

Very cogent answer, enwilson. The RWNJ modus operandi, however,is to abandon an environment once they've poisoned the water and polluted the atmosphere. Therefore,I doubt if VivaAmerica will ever see or read it...

A "conservative" flying off the handle with facts based on a cursory, half-assed examination of the situation? I may never recover from the shock I am currently feeling...

If you got an ERROR message when you clicked on O'reilly, it's a "clue". He is IN ERROR all the time. The so-called "middle" has been hijacked and has swung far to the radical-right.
Gone are the days when we had REAL investigating journalism as we did in the past. Rupert Murdock has killed the "equal time for opposing views" by claiming that HIS Fox network was just an extension of HIS VOICE and claiming that he didn't have to allow anyone else to use it.
Just peruse the site and listen to some of the REAL reporters from days gone by and hope that someday, we'll have them again...exposing the corruption that has been rampant in our country for at least the last 50 years...or, since *Watergate*!

you don't get too many archived conservative radio shows b/c the complete disregard for evidence and fact becomes evident with the passage of time. that said, please listen to Orson Welles' live broadcasts from 1946 to hear a man talking truth to power. amazing stuff! moreover, much of it sounds as if he is commenting on current events (that is 2009).

Talk radio is still popular, but it is true there are not as many "left wing" programs as there used to be. Why? My feeling is that independents just aren't as interested as much as before.
